Meet our sugariness son Monty
Meet our sugariness son Monty, today he went to dog heaven because of an ill-Equipped incompetent, "caregiver" neglected to take care of our sweet child. So, at roughly 650pm concluding night , it was rainy and thundering and he was out by himself! Scared , away from his parents and at the mercy of strangers and that dog walker named Katherine P came to walk him , and low and behold this idiot that calls herself a qualified dog walker didn't even know how to attach a leash to a collar appropriately!
With this existence said we had to pick upwardly our dead sons lifeless body off 440 this evening and cremate his body on this Tuesday evening , the immense sadness we feel is unbelievable. He was viii months one-time , he saw heaven earlier he saw his full life alee .
I don't recommend wag , and I certainly would be skeptical of who you select to put in the care of your loved one, your canine son or girl could be next .

Wag has been in despensible in helping with my Daisy'due south practice needs.
I'm retired and master intendance giver for my husband. Sometimes I'm not able to take Daisy out. The app is easy to navigate, I'yard kept informed of where they become and how far and how long.
The Wag walkers are all very professional, punctual, pleasant.
I strongly recommend Wag. I employ them at least once per week.

This service has allot of potential and as a onetime walker there are allot of things people should know about Wag. Wag has very primitive policies that almost entirely block out Walkers and they practice on their ain part without little involvement from actual walkers. Walkers are required to follow what Wag says when Wag is contacted regardless of the outcome and regardless of the fact that Wag does not actually tell pet parents these things making information technology seem the opposite as if everything is actually the doing of said walkers and caregivers rather than Wag. Wag has a documented history amid its walkers of being strategically vague and dishonest to the signal its walkers and caregivers are often left out to dry.
Earlier this year I was left in pet parent's domicile that appeared to have had some sort of blow without much context ever being shared with me. As it turns out, Wag had me in a habitation of a violent criminal and I had no idea until I had an issue with their female dog bleeding and actually had to contact the human on the phone to notice out he was not actually who he said he was. Wag blocks u.s. from communicating with well-nigh pet parents outside of Wag (this is considered a violation of their Terms of Service which they don't tell pet parents making information technology seem otherwise.) Nigh communications must get through Wag, though, this is not always the case esp in the case of sittings and boardings given virtually will meet the parent before they depart for any trip they're embarking on.
I would not propose this service to most people. They practise not treat their service providers very well and often leave them out to dry and option up the issues themselves. At the terminate of the day, Wag would not exist if information technology weren't for these people only they are treated very poorly.
I take been both a pet parent and a caregiver for these folks and I tin can honestly say I have never encountered a more than unprofessional service that treats both parents; dogs, and their caregivers with then piffling decency and respect.

Taylor walked my dogs today and while that might seem similar a "what's the big deal?" moment, allow me tell y'all why. We have tried multiple dog walkers with very little to no success. She came today and charmed a reluctant walker, temperamental and stubborn shi poo. His blood brother loves everything and anybody, but Oscar, not so much. Nosotros almost gave up hope. But after today'southward walk, my Oscar literally smiled all afternoon.

The app for Wag is horrible
The app for Wag is horrible. They crave that you lot put up your credit menu before y'all book the service. I did this and they were unable to make full the request without using multiple canis familiaris walkers so I did not book the service. (then I thought) I did not accept the second domestic dog walker, and went in to view my schedule which was empty. Even so I got a charge for the 1st dog walker they apparently somehow accepted. I never approved this. They knew I needed a single person to do the job considering my pup has some fright behaviors that precludes this. When the charge came through I went on and cancelled the service, which was not showing upwardly on my schedule. I was immediately charged $v for a counterfoil fee. I found a way to contact them and they said there is always a fee for cancellations. I explained that I never booked it in the first place. They said they could not remove it. I had the fee reversed through my credit card, but feel I was treated rudely and they were non assertive me when I said I didn't approve the sitter. They are rude and unprofessional and I would not recommend this company to anyone.

There are a few ways that a Pet Caregiver can be approved for a service that is booked including Pet Parent match, Use Fastest Available, and Apply Preferred. The way that your service is assigned a Pet Caregiver is selected during the scheduling process and some of these options exercise not require a Pet Parent to manually review and select their caregiver to be assigned. Care givers and maneuvering inside the App
I've had and have some actually Bang-up caregivers. Have had to learn some flaws within the app and some that I actually don't agree with.

WAG is a great service
The app is easy to utilize and schedule walks. It seems that there is enough people to walk dogs on short notice scheduling. The dog walkers seem to accept practiced care of my dog. I love the report card and pics that the walker sends after the walk.

I love the service and have had keen luck with the staff. However, the app has many glitches, peculiarly when using the links sent from the organization about the walks my domestic dog were on.

Horrible
Horrible! Do not sign up to be a dog walker or caregiver! They accept your money for a background check and so after blessing inform y'all if there are jobs in your surface area. In that location were none in my surface area and so I couldn't book any jobs and they refuse to refund the initial fee to join.
Here is what's worse.
Fifty-fifty if new jobs were available, a new person tin can't be listed publicly on their website as a caregiver until you volume several jobs but you lot can't volume jobs unless you are recommend as a caregiver.
This circular logic keeps new caregivers from getting any jobs.
Do not use the app, they are not ethical!

Very Unsafe
i downloaded wag 5 weeks ago, put upward a positng, but no one answered so i deleted the positng and the app. Fast frontward to today-- someone randomly shows up in my house with my door code saying they are booked for a walk! Completely scaring my family and I. I chosen wag and they were not sure why they sent a stranger my door code when I hadn't fifty-fifty had the app for 4 weeks. Very concerning. I asked to delete all my info-- they said they don't have to because I don't live in Califronia ??? Very scary visitor -- would avoid.

This is the worst domestic dog walking service…
This is the worst dog walking service out at that place! Information technology is totally unreliable. I had a bad experience once when a dog sitter never showed up and I tried to avoid using Wag after that. However, I had a baby and a friend wanted to give me a souvenir card and Rover doesn't do gift cards and I decided to try another time with wag. The first walk I booked with Wag and the dog walker did not bear witness upwards! I tried getting Wag to refund the souvenir carte and they refused! Now my friend spent money on a souvenir card I can't use reliably! Worst service ever.

Waste of fourth dimension and money for walkers
Rover is so much better. Wag has requirements for a walker to even get viewed. They have "preferred" walkers that get the walk notifications commencement. Wag takes 40% of the fee! That is double the corporeality Rover does. It took then long for my background check and review. I have gotten so many walks with Rover and cypher from Wag. It was a waste matter of time and money setting upward.

A pet parents worst nightmare
I hired a wag over the Thanksgiving holiday. The first caregiver cancelled equally I was landing at my out of boondocks destination. Wag hired a replacement who was non responding to whatever messages and didn't even seem to be a real profile. That caregiver was then replaced. This caregiver was every dog parents worst nightmare. First, she brought her swain into my abode which is not immune (was not background checked through Wag, did not ask me for permission to bring him into my house). They also had their bags packed as if they were planning to stay in my dwelling overnight which was NOT what I booked. Next, I provided the caregiver with detailed instructions on how to treat my three bull terriers. I have ane pup who responds negatively to overstimulation so I informed her of how of import it is to keep him separated from the other two and provided directions on how to navigate that. I was simply going to exist gone for iii days so their trainer brash that keeping him separated was going to prevent any negative interactions between my pups. She did not follow directions, immune my dogs to interact immediately after eating which was also mentioned NOT to do in the instructions and a fight ensued immediately. I even included in the directions that there was a spray on the counter to use to suspension them upwards if a fight were to start equally recommended by their trainer. I made every effort to account for anything that could possibly go wrong and the directions were executed so poorly. Not only that, she did not use the spray to divide them so this fight continued on for over ii minutes. At that betoken, the boyfriend grabbed one of my dogs and threw her into a separate room and and then immune the other dog to come subsequently her nonetheless again. Then he proceeded to striking my dogs over and over again until they separated. 1 of my dogs had to exist rushed to the ER and Wag is refusing to reimburse me for her medical bills. If I could give this visitor zero stars, I would.
Update: Wag informed me that I would need to contact the caregiver direct to receive reimbursement. Upon request for her information to pursue the caregiver for reimbursement, Wag back up has not gotten back to me in over two months. Such a shame for a company that claims to care nigh pets.
Most unreliable and uncaring dog-walking service ever!
I have repeatedly been disappointed by Wag. I should have never continued to trust Wag subsequently this initial incident: my assigned walker went to the wrong apartment and took out another tenant'southward dog past error. And the just manner this was discovered was when the other tenant came dwelling house and saw her dog out on a walk with a stranger! My apartment was clearly outlined in the app but the walker obvious paid niggling attention to the info listed. I continued to try Wag because it theoretically gives you flexibility in scheduling a walk. Yet, I have later booked walks and had walkers cancel at the last infinitesimal. Yesterday, I had a scheduled and confirmed walk in the evening. While I was out at dinner, I was informed that no walker was available and the service was just canceled (at the time of the appointment). I had to get out my dinner immediately to take intendance of my canis familiaris since I was over 2 hours away.
Wag walkers rave about the flexibility of accepting walks. Information technology is this same flexibility that allows walkers to cancel on you at the very last infinitesimal. Do they not realize that there is a living creature at the other end of their determination?! The lack of reliability coupled with the cavalier attitude of Wag is quite distasteful. At that place is no accountability and no clear manner of communicating with them. Wag clearly has disregard for their clients and the animals they supposedly have care of. Every other dog-walking service I have used has provided infinitely better care. If you care about your pet and your peace of mind, never ever trust or use Wag!

App is merely okay. Website is inadequate. While the service from the walkers is great, the website and app demand help. I can only text the walker from my phone app, not my laptop. And for boarding, there's no way to know the sitter's location until you volume it and text/call them directly. Shouldn't we know the sitter'due south address and so we don't book someone an hour away?
